‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ is an American reality competition television series produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV and later VH1. The show features drag queens competing in various challenges, including lip-syncing, acting, and fashion design, to become America’s next drag superstar.
The show is hosted by RuPaul, who also serves as a mentor and inspiration to the contestants. The show has become a cultural phenomenon, with spin-offs and international versions, and has been praised for its representation of the LGBTQ+ community and its positive impact on mainstream culture. The show has also won multiple Emmy Awards and has a dedicated fan base.
The challenge in ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 16 Episode 4 was an RDR Live challenge. The challenge tested the queens’ ability to perform live sketch comedy in a single take. The drama arose while assigning roles about who gets what part.
The queen who landed in the bottom three spots were Geneva, Mhi’ya, and Mirage. The second official lip-syncing on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16 was held between Geneva and Mirage. Unfortunately, Mirage became the second queen to be eliminated from RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16 in Episode 4.
Who won Episode 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16?
The winner of Episode 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 was Plasma. She was declared the winner of the challenge for her performance and runway presentation, which featured the queens recreating Cher’s looks.
As a result, Plasma was the victor of the episode, showcasing her talent and creativity in the competition
Who was eliminated in the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 Episode 4?
In ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 16, the queens eliminated so far are:
- Hershii LiqCour-Jeté
- Mirage
These queens were eliminated in the respective episodes they appeared in. The show features a total of 14 contestants, and as the competition progresses, more queens will be eliminated until the ultimate winner is crowned as America’s Next Drag Superstar
Mirage
In a slightly convoluted (and seemingly heavily produced) series of events this week, one of the season’s most talented dancers and would-be lip sync assassin, Mirage was sent home well before she should have been.
To trace this catastrophe back to its origin, the week’s challenge was the aforementioned SNL-style skit show with the 13 queens quibbling over who would take what role. Mirage ended up nabbing the host’s spot, which she initially chose because she wanted to avoid playing a character, but then second-guessed due to the prominence of the role.
Moving on to the runway, the queens recreated Cher looks, and it’s here that the judges really went out of their way to clock Mirage, who looked stunning in a purple, feathery number. In the critiques, Ru seemed fixated on the fact that the hair was from a different decade than the dress, despite the fact that historical accuracy has never been a judging criteria on the show.
Mirage was then put in the bottom two over Mhi’ya Iman LePaige, who has performed poorly three weeks in a row, up against Geneva Karr, who was also in the bottom last week and this week didn’t even bother to figure out who Lindsay Graham was despite playing him in the skit!
Despite giving a mesmerizing performance, Mirage was finally sent home for not knowing the words to Cher’s “Dark Lady” well enough. Mirage’s early exit brought the week’s bizarre episode to a fizzling conclusion, and makes me wary of what’s to come this season, especially after all kinds of weird production shenanigans that took place on All Stars 8.
Which queens have immunity?
Sapphira Cristal and Plane Jane secured immunity during the season’s premiere and for the second week in a row they have both felt safe enough pre-critiques not to use the immunity.
