Adam Harrison, the son of “Pawn Stars” star Rick Harrison, has passed away at the age of 39 due to an overdose.
On Friday, Jan. 19, TMZ reported the untimely death of Adam.T he family is greatly saddened by his loss.
Rick’s rep, Laura Herlovich, confirmed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Adam’s death was due to a drug overdose. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department is investigating the case.
“Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam,” Harrison said in a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”
Adam was the second child of Rick Harrison and his ex-wife, Kim, and the younger brother of Corey Harrison. He reportedly worked at Gold & Silver Pawn prior to the series’ 2009 premiere but has not recently worked at the pawn shop.
The circumstances of Adam’s death, including when and where he overdosed, are unknown. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department is currently investigating the case.
The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop owner took to Instagram late Friday to post a tribute to his son. “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam. 💔,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself and Adam smiling at a bar.
