Ethan Liming’s parents Bill Liming and Jennifer Liming request that anyone with information about their son’s death come forward and contact the authorities.
Ethan Liming was found dead at the I Promise School parking lot on June 2, 2022, at around 10:30 pm, he was with his friends when they engaged with three males playing basketball at the premises. Liming was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials reported the teen had died from blunt force trauma to the head after he allegedly got into an altercation involving a water gun. Authorities say Liming was lying on the ground in the parking lot when police arrived. They were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Liming was a rising senior at Firestone Community Learning Center in the Academy of Design according to Cleveland 19 and his parents say he was an accommodating person and always kept others before himself.

The US Marshals announced the arrest of three men in connection with the death of 17-year-old Ethan Liming at an Akron school parking lot on June 2.
20-year old Deshawn Stafford Jr., 19-year-old Tyler Stafford, and 21-year-old Donovon Jones were arrested Saturday morning by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and Akron Police at two separate residential buildings.
“I am happy to report that today, officers with the Akron Police Department, made several arrests in connection with the death of Ethan Liming,” said Akron Police Chief Stephen Mylett in a press release. “We thank the members of the community for their outpouring of support that helped investigators throughout this investigation.”

Tyler and Deshawn Stafford were traced down to a residence in the 500 block of North Howard Street and detained. Donovon Jones was apprehended in the 200 block of Crosby Street.
Summit County CrimeStoppers offered a $30,000 prize earlier this week, and Akron police said information from the public led to the defendants’ identification and the issuance of homicide warrants.
Police stated “that in the moments leading up to the incident, one or more occupants in the [Liming]’s vehicle were riding around the surrounding area shooting a SPLATRBALL Water Bead Blaster at objects and possibly unsuspecting people,” per a statement released.
They then drove in the direction of the basketball courts where the group of teens “targeted or approached the subjects who were on the court and fired the gel soft gun at them.” These actions seemingly provoked the altercation.

Liming’s father Bill is a minister and Ethan would often accompany him on mission trips to Richmond and other more local events, providing food to needy members of the community according to Fox News.
Liming’s father, Bill, recalled his son as a loving and charitable person with a “bright future” ahead of him in an interview with Fox News Digital. Liming’s father said Liming intended on becoming a lawyer as the high school junior was beginning to prepare for his college visits.
Ethan’s mother Jennifer recently spoke about her son’s murder as three suspects have been arrested in connection to the case, she urged people with knowledge to come forward as witnesses to bring justice to their son.
Much information about Ethan’s mother Jennifer’s personal life has not come to the surface but she does not seem to be together with Bill anymore as Ethan has a stepmother, Cyndi Liming, according to Arkon Beacon Journal.
