Street Outlaws: fastest in America is a show based on the fastest street racing teams in America competing for a winner-takes-all purse of $100,000.
The show focuses on the Oklahoma street racing world, giving viewers a peek behind the scenes of the action as a handful of teams battle it out for a cash prize.
The third season of the show premiered back in January, and it’s been non-stop craziness ever since. Street racing bosses from a handful of states have been carefully handpicked by JJ Da Boss to create eight different teams.
JJ Da Boss (real name – Jonathan Day) is a reality television personality who rose to fame after appearing on the Discovery Channel series – ”Street Outlaws: Memphis.”
He was born on August 10, 1973, at St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and as of 2022, JJ is 48 years old.
Jonathan grew up in the small town of Joiner, Arkansas. His mother was of the Pentecostal faith. He spent his childhood and youth surrounded by the underground street racing scene, and even as a toddler, his mother would bring him to watch his father and uncle race in the streets.
He developed a love for fast-moving muscle cars, and by the age of 10, he was already racing on the back roads of his rural country town.
After running into bad habits, JJ was sent to federal prison for eight years and one month. When he was released, he felt he had a new lease on life and dedicated his time to his passions, which was fixing up old cars.
Education
Spending his time growing up in a rural area, he tried to find hobbies and passions outside of the small-town persona to fill his time.
He would take to the streets, participating in gambling and hustling, developing his well-known persona as a fast-talking, street-smart, tough guy.
JJ da Boss graduated from Rivercrest High School in 1992 in Mississippi County, Arkansas.
After finishing school, he started down a long and difficult path that would one day lead him to fame and fortune, a far cry from his impoverished upbringing.
Career
After high school, continuing the tradition of the family profession, JJ started a career as a roofer and worked for roofing companies for 20 years.
In his spare time, he would work on cars as a hobby.
After his time in prison, JJ began working on cars full time and began to enter them in street races.
At this time, he was becoming a big part of the underground Memphis Street Racing scene, and his name became more and more famous within the scene.
After years of street racing and rising in an informal leadership role of the scene, Jonathan, his family, and his friends had complete control of all of the street racing that occurred in Memphis, constantly winning races to make themselves the undefeated champions of Memphis Street Racing.
Street Outlaws: Memphis
As the leader of the Memphis Street Racing family, JJ da Boss drew attention from the hit TV show produced by the Discovery Channel, Street Outlaws.
What came next was a spinoff series titled Street Outlaws: Memphis.
Street Outlaws: Memphis has gained immense popularity and has secured a steady and generous income for the man who grew up poor and on the streets.

He said about Precious:

In another interview, the racer stated:
”Precious is the Godmother to my kids. All of us, we grew up in a little town outside Memphis [with] about 700 people.”
Accident
In 2017, after falling asleep behind the wheel of his GMC Sierra pickup, JJ was involved in a car accident.
Da Boss suffered a busted eye, broken ribs and hand, and various cuts.
