Alexandra Morgan, 34, from Sissinghurst, in Kent, was last seen at a petrol station near Cranbrook just before 7.30am on Sunday November 14.
She has not been in contact with her family since then, which is “completely out of character”, Kent Police said.
Detectives are treating the “suspicious” case as a potential murder enquiry, with two men arrested on suspicion of murder currently in custody.
A 53-year-old man, from Hastings, East Sussex, was arrested yesterday, police announced today.
A 40-year-old man from St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, was arrested on Thursday.
Kent Police, treating Ms. Morgan’s disappearance as a possible murder investigation, said her family had not heard from her since Nov. 14, which is “totally atypical”.
A photo of Ms. Morgan’s white Mini Cooper was released by police, which has a black roof and registration number MF55 YHM.
Officials found that she traveled between her home and toward Hastings on Sunday 14 November and Monday 15 November.
The Kent Police are assisted by officers from the Sussex Force to conduct a comprehensive search of four locations in Hastings and St. Leonards-on-Sea in the hunt for Ms. Morgan.
The Sun reported that Ms. Morgan posted online about a stalker in 2018 and referred to the incident again last year.
To a friend who asked her where she had been, she replied, “Live the best life where nobody follows my every move.”
Another concerned friend said she also “wondered where she had gone” and “hoped everything would be okay”.
A 2019 post also referred to a potential stalker with the headline, “Hello Stalkers.”
The 34-year-old wrote, “Stop stalking my site darlings.
“It’s pretty sad … not only that, but you’re making it clearer every day as we’re not even friends on Facebook.
“There’s nothing to see here, unless I want you too … If you keep going, I’ll post your antics for everyone to see. Have a nice day!’
Rose McAuley, 32, a gas station manager and friend of Ms. Morgan, served her on the morning of her disappearance and said she bought fuel, coffee and a snack.
Ms. McAuley said she came to see her early in the morning, which was different and “worn out” to her, and she described her disappearance as “completely mysterious”.
She said she is never embarrassed so she doesn’t think she’s scared to come home.
As the police continue their investigation, residents can expect more officers in the area.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber of the Serious Crime Directorate in Kent and Essex said: “It is totally atypical for Alexandra not to contact her family and we are now treating this case as a possible murder.
“As we continue our investigation, I urge anyone who has seen Alexandra or her white Mini Cooper with a black roof to contact us.
“If you think you’ve seen Alexandra or something suspicious, but are not sure, please give us a call and let us know.”
The two arrested men remain in custody for further questioning.
Anyone who has seen Ms. Morgan or her car is urged to call the Kent Police Department on 101, reference 18-0280.
