As Uganda prepares to host some of the worlds biggest athletes, many Ugandans have their spirits high. Hotels are preparing to host the visitors as bussiness men look at becomming richer due the event. The event shall attract crouds from Germany, United States of America, China, Kenya, Ethiopia among many more who are coming to spend some good time in the country as they participate in the world cross country championship.
This is an international athletic championship that is to be organised by the IAAF, hosted by the pearl of Africa. Setting off shall be at the Kololo ceremonial independence grounds where we expect athletes like Torah,Dibaba Genzele and Uganda’s Stephen Kiprotich.
The event is also expected to have the president of the republic of Uganda Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, IAAF president Lord Sebastian Coe, Commonwealth president Ms Louise Martin, ambassadors from visiting countries and the hon. Ministers of Uganda.
Speaking to the press about the event, the minister for sports Hon Bakkabulindi called upon different companies to pattner and support the event. He added that the event requires 8.03 billion shillings where r government of Uganda along side KCCA shall put in shs 6.4 billion,IAAF is expected to inject 1 billion and 630 million shillings is expected to come from national sponsors .
