The Speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga is in Gabon ahead of Uganda Cranes match against Egypt at Port Gentil on Saturday night.

She arrived at the Leon Mba International Airport in Libreville on Friday evening.

The Speaker met with the Uganda Cranes team and applauded them for ‘enabling the country to return to continental football.
Kadaga also handed Uganda Cranes a cheque worth UGX224m as a contribution from MPs.

After handing over the cheque, the MPs had a moment to interact with the players.

‘The Speaker is an ardent follower and lover of football-especially Uganda Cranes. She rallied behind the team when prepapring for the final qualification game against Comoros in 2016 and the team won’  Hussein said.

Uganda takes on Egypt on Saturday night in a group D match.
