Man Utd lead Bruno Fernandes race
Manchester United have raced ahead of rivals Liverpool in the race to land Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes.
The 24-year-old Sporting Lisbon man is being chased by clubs all across Europe – including United and Liverpool.
And according to Radio Rossonera, it’s the Manchester side who are in the box seat to get a deal done.
He’s valued at around £70m.
Leeds refuse to sell £34m pair
Leeds are ready to batten down the hatches and block the exits of two talented stars this summer.
Aston Villa want midfield rock Kalvin Phillips in a £14m deal, but Leeds have no interest in selling.
They also intend to fight off interest from Tottenham in young attacker Jack Clarke.
Leeds are demanding at least £20m from Spurs for the player.
Tottenham to offer Lyon star HUGE deal?
Tottenham are set to offer Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele a huge contract in an attempt to lure hom to the club.
The club may have to break their transfer record to sign the Frenchman after already seeing a £50m rejected.
According to Football Insider, Spurs are willing to to pay Ndombele £200,000-a-week and give him a five-year contract.
Alongside Ndombele, Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is on Tottenham’s radar although the Argentine has a £89m release clause.
Arsenal’s defensive targets
Arsenal boss Unai Emery is looking to Spain, France, and Italy as he steps up his search for defensive reinforcements.
RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano and Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen are two players in question.
But it is Saint-Etienne’s William Saliba who they are set to bid for, according to the Daily Mirror.
Arsenal are expected to make an opening offer for Saliba soon with talks between the two clubs well underway.
The 18-year-old however could even be loaned back to Saint-Etienne if he joins the Gunners.
With Laurent Koscielny potentially leaving for Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal need to move fast to sign a replacement.
Man Utd back in for Longstaff?
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will move for Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff once he has a right-back and a centre-back signed.
The London Evening Standard report the Norwegian sees those positions as a priority.
Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is still being targeted, while Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt continue to be linked.
But Solskjaer also wants Longstaff and has been linked with a £25m deal for the 21-year-old.
He will make an official approach later this month, once other deals are first wrapped up.
Matthijs de Ligt to Man Utd?
Matthijs de Ligt has not yet agreed a deal with Paris Saint-Germain, that’s according to his agent Mino Raiola.
The Ajax superstar has been heavily linked with a move to the French champions, along with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Barcelona, amongst others.
PSG are ready to offer him the best wages, but according to Raiola, nothing has been confirmed as yet.
He said: “This is the classic example of fake news.
“The photograph of me and the French journalist in Paris? He asked me to take a picture together, but I did not know who this gentleman was.
“I have never spoken with him.”
Rabiot to snub Man Utd?
Adrien Rabiot could make a shock transfer U-turn and stay at Paris Saint-Germain despite being frozen out of the team for half the season, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 24-year-old midfielder fell out with the club when he refused to sign a new contract, and hasn’t played first-team football since December 2018.
With his contract set to expire at the end of this month he was rumoured to be interesting the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United.
However, due to the alleged exit of sporting director Antero Henrique there is still a chance Rabiot could resurrect his career at Parc de Princes.
