Mukono police has begun investigation circumstances under which a body of a child was dug out of a pile of limestone at the Kampala Cement factory in Mukono district.
A child’s body of about seven years that was discovered at the premises of Kampala cement factory along Kampala Jinja high at Namataba Walusubi village that manufactures cement.
According to the Mukono police boss D/ASP Ibra Batasi said, the body was found in lime stone used to make cement with strained arms in a green t-shirt and a trouser designed with green and yellow flowers.
It was discovered by one of the factory workers who were operating a tractor before informing the management.
According to one of the company bosses statement, claims they do not know where the lime that had kid’s corpse came from saying that they collect lime from different parts of the country including Kapchorwa and Fort portal.
They added, they have several contractors that bring to them row materials to manufacture cement.
Mukono divisional CID boss Batasi said the search for kid’s relatives is on and asked the public who ever lost a kid to report to Mukono.
According to police it’s suspected the kid was sleeping from where the tractor rolled him a track of lime which dumped him in Kampala Cement while dead.
The kid’s body was taken to Kawolo hospital mortuary. File case SD Ref 07/07/2017
