Real Madrid and Spain playmaker Isco is on course to become one of the best players in the world, according to Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

The 25-year-old has been one of the more impressive performers during the calendar year has he came up with a number of important goals to help Los Blancos clinch a La Liga and Champions League double last season.

Such was his good form that a recall to the La Roja squad was forthcoming and he netted a brace in a man-of-the-match display in the 3-0 win over Italy in a World Cup qualifier at the weekend and has been tipped for the very top.

“I’ve known Isco for years. It doesn’t surprise me as I’ve seen him do incredible things in training for a long time now,”de Gea told Marca.

“He’s at a superb level and with that quality he will become one of the best.”

An attacking midfielder with the ability to pull the strings in a number 10 position or even out wide, Isco made 42 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring 11 goals, weighing in with 10 assists and appears to be above Gareth Bale in the pecking order.
