Brig. Kasirye Ggwanga a presidential advisor on military issue was quizzed by a team of military police officers and CID officer at Military Police headquarters in Makindye .

 

The stubborn army is accused of maliciously burning a grader which he found clearing a disputed plot of land purportedly to be owned by his daughter in Lubowa, Entebbe Road.

 

Reliable sources from Miliatry told to us that Brig Ggwanga spent more than two hours recording a statement before he was released on a police bond.

 

When asked about the matter CID spokesman Vicent Ssekate Confirmed and revealed the one star general had been given one week of rest before he needed to record another statement. ‘’ as a joint military organization we decided to have this senior military officer record a statement at ease so that he could give us all the details on what took place’ ’he said Ggwanga is expected to record another statement on Monday 28th august

Brig Kasirye Gwanga, a retired senior UPDF officer, has been in the news for setting ablaze an earthmover which he found clearing a piece of land in Lubowa. He claimed that whoever sent the machine was trying to grab his land and he had to get serious. “I burnt that tractor. Tell them. I am now hunting them. I am a bad hunter. Let them know,” Kasirye Gwanga said when asked to comment on the incident.
