RUSSIA has declared that the situation on the Korean peninsula is headed for “full-scale” conflict after the North’s latest missile test.
“It will ultimately result in either a military catastrophe in northeast Asia, or a humanitarian catastrophe in North Korea”
Kim Jong-un completed his most terrifying missile launch yet, claiming to fire an ICBM with a Hydrogen bomb tip.
Donald Trump has threatened the Hermit Kingdom with military action should they launch another missile or threaten any of their allies.
And Russia, which borders the despot nation, has declared that all diplomatic options have exhausted themselves after their last launch.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova declared that action on the Korean peninsula was leading to a “fully-fledged armed conflict in the region”.
She added: “We are convinced that the policy of maximum pressure, including sanctions on North Korea has exhausted itself.
“It is evident that it will ultimately results in either a military catastrophe in northeast Asia, or a humanitarian catastrophe in North Korea.”
In response to the latest launch, the US drafted a resolution with Japan and South Korea on how to curb North Korea’s nuke programme.
The Donald has urged the UN to impose an oil embargo and cripple the assets of the tubby tyrant to force more pressure on The North.
But a resigned Russia slammed the draft, claiming this would only aggravate the rotund ruler.
The spokeswoman added: “This disturbs the strategic stability in the region because it does not bring to the region long-awaited calm and prospects for resolution of existing issues, but only aggravates them.”
