West Brom centre-back Jonny Evans will reject Arsenal in favour of a move to Manchester City, according to reports.
Arsene Wenger has made a late move to sign the 29-year-old before the transfer window closes, but The Daily Mail reports that the defender is not considering a switch to north London.
Done deal: Chelsea complete transfer for attacking midfielder
Arsenal have not yet made an official bid for Evans and West Brom are holding out for a £30 million transfer fee.
Earlier this month, City had an £18m offer rejected for the Northern Ireland international but Pep Guardiola’s side are expected to submit an improved offer.
Leicester City have also showed an interest in signing Evans and have had a £21m offer rejected.
The former Manchester United defender has entered the final two years of his contract with West Brom and the club are willing to make him their highest paid player by offering a £85,000-a-week deal.
