Greenwood police chief James Ison kept on giving updates on the mall shooting case and described the man who got involved in the gunfight and killed the suspect as nothing less than heroic.
The 22-year-old guy who killed Sapirman has been identified as the Elisjsha Dicken of Seymour. Civilians praise him for his heroic action, which saved the lives of many. He shot his handgun from more than 30 feet away.

The gunman was identified as a 20 year old Jonathan Douglas Sapirman. According to Greenwood Police Chief James Ison, the gunman, Jonathan Douglas Sapirman prepared for the shooting for over an hour in a bathroom before he emerged with a rifle.
After identifying the dead suspect, police and teams raided his house by evacuating the neighbors for around three hours.
During the investigation, while talking to the Sapirman parents, they also replied they were shocked to know as much as everyone about what their son did. However, they added that he had shown no sign of violence till now.
The shooter reportedly had no any criminal records in the past, said Russ McQuaid on live news. But his name was listed in the family courtroom, which did not indicate any unlawful deeds.
Jonathan Douglas Sapirman posted an Imgur link of photos where he is seen holding a pistol to his head, while wearing a white shirt, jeans, and ammo vest.
Officials raided his apartment. Nothing suspicious and lethal was found there. But police reported he had kept an oven on with a laptop and a butane bottle, which could end up in an explosive situation, police said.

The victims were identified as Indianapolis couple Pedro Pineda, 56, and Rosa Mirian Rivera de Pineda, 37, and Victor Gomez, 30, who is also from Indianapolis.
