Clarissa Neo, a 28 year-old Singaporean woman has died in Malaysia while traveling with three other friends to Redang Island, Terengganu. People who knew her are devastated to hear the news and mourn her death on social media.

Clarissa Neo was working at Biomed Global, and she was also a businesswoman who had co-founded, The Better diamond company with her friend, Adeline Lin. It was a jewelry company that sold lab-grown diamonds.

According to her LinkedIn page, Ms Neo graduated from the National University of Singapore. She was a regional manager in a biomedical company called Biomed Global.

Ms Adeline Lin, 28, a friend and business partner, said Ms Neo had flown into Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday for a business trip for Biomed, and was due to return on Sunday.

Apart from Biomed Global, Ms Neo was also the chief operating officer and a co-founder of The Better Diamond, a jewellery business selling lab-grown diamonds.

Ms Lin, who is also a co-founder, said she was in shock when she heard about the accident. She had spoken to Ms Neo less than an hour before the accident took place.

Before working at Biomed, she had work experiences in the National University Hospital, Singapore Food Agency, and GE healthcare. In addition to Biomed Global, she was the co-founder and chief operating officer of The Better Diamond, a jewelry company that sells lab-grown diamonds.

Her friend and co-founder Adeline Lin said Neo had arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday for a business trip for Biomed and was scheduled to leave again on Sunday.

The accident left Lin in shock, who said she had spoken to her less than an hour before the accident.

Clarissa Neo, a Singaporean was killed on Wednesday (June 29) after the car she was in skidded and crashed.

Clarissa Neo was killed after a BMW in which she was traveling lost control and struck the railing in the rain while she and her three friends were traveling to Redang Island, Terengganu, for a vacation in Malaysia. The island is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and white sand beaches.

The accident took place at around 5.15pm on a highway along the eastern coast of Malaysia, Chinese newspaper Shin Min Daily News reported on Thursday.

Ms Clarrisa Neo, 28, had been on a trip with a man and two other women, who are all Malaysians. One of the two Malaysian women, 30, also fractured her left leg and hurt her right hand from the accident.

According to an earlier report from Straits Times, she was a 28 years old resident of Lion City who traveled yesterday by car with three friends from Malaysia to Redang Island, Terengganu. The four of them had departed Kuala Lumpur that day at about 1 pm.

The 31-year-old driver, Ng Shea Shin, was her boyfriend who lost control as he approached a puddle and crashed into a roadside railing, killing Clarrisa Neo Li Shan, who was in the passenger seat, and inflicting damage to the left leg of another passenger.

The medical staff at the site confirmed the victim’s death, and her body was sent to the Hulu Terengganu Hospital’s Forensic Unit for autopsy. The deceased’s family is traveling to Malaysia. Likewise, the vehicle’s driver and another back passenger, Goh Yong Zhin, were unharmed.

Clarissa Neo is dead, as per the news source, after suffering a fatal car crash when she and her three friends were on the way to Redang Island, Terengganu.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the four of them had left Kuala Lumpur around 1pm that day to visit the island, popular for its clear waters and sandy beaches.

Her family is traveling to Malaysia, and he body has been sent to the hospital for an autopsy. She was sitting in the passenger seat beside the driver’s seat and was the only victim who died in the accident.

Two people were unharmed, whereas one of them injured her legs. There was one man and three women in the car.
