A Louisville woman named Kandy Bennett is the killer wife of Mark Bennett.
According to Kentucky State Police, 40-year-old Kandy Bennett, of Taylorsville, is charged with killing 51-year-old Mark Bennett, also of Taylorsville.
“It really scared me because my granddaughter texted me before they got on the street and said ‘whats going on on our street?'” said neighbor Debra Garvey.
Police responded Sunday at around 6 p.m. to a call about a shooting on Clinton Court in Spencer County. When officers arrived, they found Bennett dead from a gunshot wound.
Kentucky State Police say Mark Bennett was found dead inside the garage of the home. Kandy Bennett turned herself in to authorities without incident.
Mark Bennett was discovered dead inside the home’s garage, according to Kentucky State Police. Without incident, Kandy Bennett surrendered to police.
A Kentucky State Police spokesperson said that their agency has received past calls for the residence in the past but could not specific what the those calls were for.
The last known information about Kandy Bennett, the murderer of her husband Mark Bennett, was that she was in the detention center in 2017.
Meanwhile, there is no information available on her whereabouts now. In April 2017, the Bennett family’s neighbors heard 4-5 gunshots. The police found the body of Mark Bennett in the garage. He had several shots fired on his body.
When police arrived Kandy was at the house. She was later convicted of murdering her husband.
As already mentioned at the begining, Kandy Bennett was 40 years old at the time of the murder of her husband, who was 51 years old. She could be now 45 years old as of 2022.
There is no other information available on Kandy Bennett.
It has been confirmed by neighbors Kandy Bennett and Mark Bennett had kids. However, the names of the kids have not been identified.
