Sara Duterte’s real name and commonly known as Inday Sara. She was born on May 31, 1978, in Davao City, Philippines.

She’s the mayor of a major Philippine city, rides a motorcycle, has served in the army and probably carries a gun — and she once punched a court sheriff several times in the face in her city when he went ahead with a shantytown demolition she was trying to halt.

Talking about her educational background, she attended San Pedro College, majoring in BS Respiratory Therapy, and graduated in 1999. She revealed that she wanted to be a pediatrician instead of a politician.

Later she took up a law degree at the San Sebastian College Recoletos and earned degree in May 2005. After that, she worked for a few months as a court attorney at the office of Supreme Court Associate Justice Romeo Callejo Sr.

Sara Duterte is the second child of Rodrigo Duterte.

Duterte-Carpio was born to Elizabeth Zimmerman, Duterte’s first wife. The marriage fell apart following extramarital affairs. Duterte-Carpio has previously said she is not close with her father, calls him by his title in public and did not consult him about her vice-presidential run.

Moving into her parent’s profession, her father was president and her mother was a flight attendant.

She was also one of the nine elected governors of the Philippine Red Cross in 2014. The politician even shaved her head to convince her father to run for president in the 2016 Philippine presidential elections.

Since her childhood, she is fearless and independent, leading to a love-hate relationship with her dad when was a student due to her disapproval of his womanizing tendencies and late-night habits.

Without a doubt, she was one of the most loved and favorite children among her siblings.

Sara Duterte has been married to her beloved husband Manases R. Carpio who was her fellow lawyer.

Both the couple met while attending San Beda University. Together they have one adopted daughter Mikhaila María, and two sons Mateo Lucas, and Marko Digong.

On March 10, 2022, she talked about her sexuality in a meet-and-greet with supporters. She even revealed that she was part of the LGBT community, with her gender expression being male and sexuality being female.
