Nilofar Bayat is the captain of the Afghanistan’s Paralympic basketball team.
She and her spouse are starting a new life in Spain. They escaped Kabul after the Taliban’s forces took control of the government and the country.
Bayat told in an interview that she would not be able to live under the rules of the Taliban. Taliban are a vicious military force. The inforce strict laws and heavily suppress the women.

She arrived on Spain, Bilbao with more than 100 either refugees seeking a place on foreign countries. Governments of different nations are welcoming Afghan people to their land.

Nilofar Bayat is married to Ramesh Naik Zai. Nilofar and Ramesh fled Afghanisan on August 20th.
She and her husband were waiting at the Kabul airport to get out of the country. Thanks to the Spanish government, they and 100 other people were rescued from the terrorizing country.
Bayat said in an interview, “When I saw Taliban for the first time, around the airport, how dangerous they are, how they were shooting, beating. I told Ramesh that I wanted to leave the country because I cannot live with these people.”
Ramesh is a year younger than Nilofar.
