Jose Mourinho has posted a picture on Instagram from inside the Tottenham Hotspur changing room after Spurs earned a 1-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor thanks to Son Heung-min’s second-half winner.
It was Harry Kane and Son who combined once again to secure all three points for Tottenham, as England skipper Kane flicked an Erik Lamela corner on to South Korea captain Son to nod home from within the six-yard box.
The win has seen north London side Spurs up into fifth, and just two points behind league leaders Everton who suffered a surprise loss to Southampton. The last-minute goals against Newcastle and West Ham have prevented Spurs from going top.
But Spurs are on a roll at the moment. Europa League form is good and Monday’s win sees them earn their first Premier League clean sheet of the season, at the sixth attempt. Son and Kane are both in the form of their life.
Unlike their opponents, Tottenham have already played 11 matches this season in all competitions – winning all of their five Europa League matches, beating Manchester United 6-1 and even knocking Chelsea out of the Carabao Cup on penalties.
The chemistry and winning mentality seems to have been restored by Mourinho, after it was lost under Mauricio Pochettino. Mourinho posted a cheeky picture on Instagram, with all of his players on their phones – claiming it is a “sign of the times”.
