Betting on props can be one of the easiest ways to build your bankroll. Sportsbooks tend to offer lower limits and take less action on props than they do on games, so they don’t have as much incentive to post an accurate line.
That’s where our Player Prop tool comes in handy. We compare our industry-leading NBA projections to the props posted at a variety of sportsbooks to identify the best plays each day. Each bet is then graded on a scale from 1-10, with 10 being the best possible grade.
Today’s props come from two games in the evening.
- Bucks vs. Rockets at 8:30 p.m. ET
- Mavericks vs. Suns at 9:00 p.m. ET
NBA Player Prop Bets
Russell Westbrook: Under 29.5 points (Bet Now at FanDuel)
Russell Westbrook is one of the most tenacious scorers in the NBA. He’ll routinely power his way to the rim for buckets, with his agility and downhill speed being two of his best skills.
But Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks are a big team.
And while Westbrook has plenty of poster dunks, he’ll likely be contained against the Bucks, one of the best defensive squads in the league.
Westbrook scored 31 points on Friday in the Rockets’ restart opener, as his team defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 153-149, in overtime. Dallas isn’t nearly as good defensively as Milwaukee, though.
The Bucks rank first in the league in opponent field goal percentage, fourth in opponent points per game and have the top defensive rating. Antetokounmpo is a significant reason for the team’s defensive success because of his ability to protect the rim. His paint presence has helped him average 1.0 block a game.
Westbrook scored 24 points when the Rockets played the Bucks in their October season opener. He shot 41.2% from the field. Our player prop tool projects Westbrook will score 26.4 points. I would take the under 29.5 here and bet to 26.
Devin Booker: Over 6.5 assists (Bet Now at FanDuel)
The Suns are one of the best passing teams in the NBA, leading the league in assists per game.
Devin Booker is their best player, and while he has proven to be a good scorer, he’s also shown his ability to facilitate.
Booker is averaging 6.5 assists a game this season, and that’s the second-highest average of his career. When playing the Mavericks this season, Booker has had some of his best passing performances. According to NBA.com stats, Booker has averaged 8.5 assists in two games against Dallas. That’s Booker’s fifth-highest average against any team.
Booker should be able to exploit the Mavericks’ perimeter defense with relative ease. His ability to carve up defenders with solid dribble combos is one of his best attributes.
With Booker being able to penetrate defenses, expect him to find some teammates in the process. Our prop tool has Booker projected to dish 6.7 assists. I would take the over here and bet to 7.
