President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni presided over the thanks giving ceremony of Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi. He was hosted at their home and later addressed the people of Bukomansimbi District at Kibinge, Bukomansimbi South constituency.

Speaking to the people of Bukomansimbi District, President Museveni informed them that he got to know about Hon. Nakiwala through her work with the youth, which impressed him, “when I got an opportunity to talk to her I found out she was eager to serve her country, which is a good thing. And I thank her”.

Concerning the wave of insecurity that has been reported in the area, President Museveni directed the District Police Commander (DPC) to increasingly interact with wananchi because they are the major source of intelligence and also increase vigilance and personnel.

He assured the gathering that,”the NRM government has capacity to secure citizens, I therefore want to assure you that we have the capacity to secure your property and yourselves”.

On drought plaguing Bukomansimbi, President Museveni said that government is going to deal with it decisively, “we are going to intensify and extend irrigation programs, introducing solar powered pumps so that we have a comprehensive program that serves all homes”.

Mr. Museveni thanked the people of Kibinge for their initiative of adding value to coffee, to which he later launched processed Kibinge Instant Coffee.
