Stars from Chelsea to Chipping Sodbury will jostle for space on the official match ball for this weekend’s FA Cup final between Antonio Conte‘s men and Manchester United at Wembley.

The names of all the 137 goalscorers from this season’s competition will feature on it as part of the ‘Ball for All’ initiative, which marks the 137th anniversary of the showpiece fixture.

Alexis Sanchez and Willian, who are both set to feature in the final, will both appear on the ball along with players from the extra-preliminary round including Liam Pullen, who scored Chipping Sodbury’s first goal in the competition.

Pullen, who will have the added honour of presenting the official match ball before kick-off, said: ‘To have played and scored in my club’s first ever Emirates FA Cup match back in August was a dream come true and one of the highlights of my career to date.

‘It’s an honour for my name to feature on the Ball for All and to be asked to carry it out at Wembley Stadium ahead of the final is going to be extra special.

‘I’m really looking forward to the experience and will be very proud to be representing all of the players who have scored in this season’s competition.’

Other names on the ball will include Wigan Athletic’s Will Grigg, who scored the winner as the third-tier League One side shocked Premier League champions Manchester City in the fifth round.

The FA’s director of professional game relations Andy Ambler said: ‘Over 3,000 goals have been scored in this season’s competition, from all levels of the football pyramid.

‘The 137 goalscorers from across the country are representative of all who have contributed to this season’s competition.’
