France were left sweating over Kylian Mbappe’s fitness on Tuesday but Adil Rami has now eased any injury fears ahead of the World Cup.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Mbappe went down with an ankle injury in training following a tackle from Rami just two days before the start of the tournament in Russia.

But the perpetrator has put to bed any injury concerns, by taking to Instagram to reveal ‘all is well for my Mbappe’.

The Marseille centre back posted videos onto his Instagram story of the pair lying in the physio room before playing FIFA in their hotel room, with Mbappe looking very relaxed during the squad’s downtime.

Mbappe himself took to Twitter on Tuesday to give the France fans good news ahead of the World Cup.

The 19-year-old wrote: ‘I’m fine. It’s just a hit so it doesn’t matter but thanks. It was not nasty.’

The injury will still cause concern within Les Bleus’ camp, with Mbappe also suffering a knock in France’s friendly 1-1 draw with the United States.

Didier Deschamps will be hoping Mbappe is fully fit for France’s opening game against Australia on Saturday.

Following France’s clash against Australia, they take on Peru and Denmark in their other group fixtures.
