12 year old Kirabo Namutebi who managed to win 9 gold and 3 silver medals and Avis Meya were the key medal collectors for Uganda.

When approached about her experience at CANA, Namutebi told the watchdog that what she got was a result of her parents and coaches who moved her day by day.

“I credit my Mom Miss Hadijah Namanda who managed to help out whenever I needed financial help. I also thank my coaches who trained me to become what iam today.” Said Namutebi.

She went ahead to say that the gala was something exciting and she had the fun that she as a swimmer needed.

“I must say that I got enough fun at CANA. It was so exciting” Said Namutebi.

Tendo Mukalazi, the brother to Namutebi was not at his pick as he only managed to win two silver and 5 bronze medals at CANA.

13-14 years boys category brought Samora Lumonya and Darren Ssamula the vice captain to do well in the freestyle 800m race where they managed to win a Gold.

Uganda managed to take a team of 17 swimmers however during the arrival, many looked to be returning in bits due the fact that their parents had moved together with them hence booked various return tickets.
