Liverpool have joined the race for a Turkish midfield sensation, while Arsenal have agreed to sign a £26m defender, according to Monday’s papers.
LIVERPOOL CHASING TURKISH SENSATION
Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign Besiktas’ Turkish midfielder Dorukhan Tokoz, with Serie A side Udinese having already had a bid turned down.
The Italian outfit reportedly made a bid of €7 million (£6.25m) to be paid upfront with €1m (0.89m) to be paid six months later.
According to the report on Fotomac, Besiktas want at least €10m (£8.92m) for Tokoz, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp also keen on the talented youngster.
In 19 Turkish Super Lig starts last season, Tokoz scored three goals and laid on four assists.
The Turkey international would be unlikely to break into the Liverpool first team straight away, but would be a useful bench option for the Champions League winners.
