Manchester United are planning a last minute swoop for Germany winger Julian Draxler, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to add a winger to his squad before the window closes tomorrow and, while United sources expect a quiet deadline day, there are reports Draxler could be a last-minute addition.

Bayern Munich were favourites to land the PSG winger after his future became uncertain following the arrival of Neymar.

But the Bundesliga club have insisted they won’t be launching a bid – leaving the door open for Mourinho, according to The Daily Star.

The Germany international has a deal with PSG until 2021, but could be approached by Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and United in the remaining hours of the window.

In other transfer news, Spurs defender Danny Rose is still looking for a move to United, according to ESPN FC.

The England left-back made some big claims to The Sun about having to Google Spurs’ transfer targets which won’t have gone down well with the club’s chiefs.

United have been interested in the 27-year-old this summer and, with Rose wanting to leave, it looked like it could have been a possibility.

But Daniel Levy is notoriously difficult to do business with so the chances of a deal being agreed within 24 hours is pretty slim.

In reality both of the deals being rumoured in this report are highly unlikely to happen before the window comes to a close at 11pm tomorrow.
