In a bloody game this afternoon, Mbarara city managed to qualify for the FUFA Big League play offs after winning Ndejje 1 [05]:1 [03].

At exactly 1:30pm, FIFA referee Ssali Mashoud blew the kick off whistle to start questing for whom to be dropped.

Mbarara’s Peter Kategere opened his team’s chances of qualifying when he scored a goal that brought a difference in the first half.

In the 30th minute, Mbarara’s second goal was disallowed by the referee claiming that it was offside

Ndejje’s Brian Ahebwa tried to close the gap but the 90 minutes could not allow both sides.

The two teams went into penalties and it is from this point that Mbarara city managed to qualify.

The head coach of the Uganda cranes and the FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo were some of the spectators that managed to make it at Muteesa 1 stadium Wankulukuku to witness the winner to the next level.
