Mesut Ozil has reportedly told friends he favours a move to Manchester United over Barcelona if he leaves Arsenal.

The Germany international’s current deal at the Emirates will expire at the end of the season and the club have made little progress in talks over an extension.

Arsene Wenger confirmed last week that the Gunners were still in negotiations with Ozil, who has already allegedly turned down an offer worth £235,000-a-week.

And, according to the Daily Mail, Ozil has made it clear to friends that he favours a move to Old Trafford and is hoping to pen a deal worth around £300,000-a-week at United.

The playmaker is said to be attracted by the prospect of working with Jose Mourinho, who he had an enjoyable relationship with when the pair were at Real Madrid.
