There was an uncomfortable scene in this week’s episode involving Jerry Buss and his mother’s nurse. In the new episodes of “Winning Time,” Jerry Buss’ mother Jessie Buss is seen on her deathbed. But who plays nurse Lucia in Winning Time episode 8?

‘Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,’ an HBO documentary, is based on Jeff Pearlman’s book ‘Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s.’

Episode 8 – ‘California Dreaming’ – aired on Sunday (24 April), with one of the central themes being the return of coach Jack McKinney.

JESSIE BUSS’ DEATH IS A KEY PLOT IN THE EPISODE

John C. Reilly stars as Dr. Jerry Buss in the series, the investor and former owner who helped turn the Lakers’ fortunes around.

His mother, Jessie Buss, is played in the series by Sally Field. This week’s episode deals with the poignancy and emotion around her imminent death.

However, Jerry isn’t aware of his mom’s cancer and we see her try to keep it from her son.

Jerry’s daughter Jeanie knows, and is torn between telling her father and keeping it from him on the insistence of her grandmother.

At one point in the episode, we see a late night car scene between Jerry and his mother’s nurse, Lucia. Buss is overcome with emotion about his mother’s impending death, and leans over and rests his head on Lucia.

In the episode, Lucia console Buss, rubbing his back, before he unbuttons the nurse’s top and fondles her breast.

In the following episode, Jessie Buss insists Jeanie keep the fact that she is on her deathbed, hidden from Jerry.

 

Similarly, Jerry claims that she went to the hospital, was released, and is now back on her feet. Jerry is unaware that his mother is dying of cancer, and as a result, he maintains his boisterous, upbeat party animal demeanor.

For her part, Jeanie is caught between following her grandmother’s request that Jerry is kept in the dark and telling her father the truth so that he may fully appreciate the time he has left with his mother.

WHO PLAYS NURSE LUCIA IN WINNING TIME EPISODE 8?

The scene involving Jerry Buss and Lucia is one of the most uncomfortable in the entire series. During the episode, fans wanted to know who plays the nurse in Winning Time episode 8.

Buss’ mother’s nurse is played by Natalia Cordova-Buckley, who has been in a number of TV shows before.

Cordova-Buckley is a Mexican-American actress best known for starring as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez / Slingshot in the superhero drama series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The actress is also known for roles in Bates Motel (2013), Coco (2017) and Destroyer (2018). Cordova-Buckley has been married to musician and actor Brian Buckley since 2011 and they have two dogs together.

Details On Jessie Buss Metastatic Cancer & Hospital Update

Jessie Buss is claimed to be suffering from metastatic cancer. Similarly, in the most recent episode, a heartbroken Jerry is seen leaving off his mother’s nurse Lucia and is eventually overtaken with sorrow when he learns that his mother is dying.

As he weeps and accepts the fact that he will lose his mother. Lucia begins to calm him by caressing his back as he bends forward and puts his head on her.

 

According to reports, no details about Jessie Buss’ hospitalization or ailment update have been revealed. The facts may be revealed steadily while the two episodes from the first season of the series are remaining.

Jessie Buss, Buss’s divorced mother, reared him in Salt Lake City. Lydus, his father, was a chartered accountant who later went on to teach statistics at the University of California, Berkeley.

Furthermore, he went to Los Angeles with his mother when he was nine years old; three years later, when she remarried, they relocated to Kemmerer, Wyoming.
