Who is Angel Candelaria?
A 33-year-old Angel Candelaria of Fort Lauderdale got arrested after allegedly shooting an employee at the popular Shooters Waterfront restaurant.
According to reports, Candelaria was a former employee of Shooters Waterfront restaurant. He was allegedly the offender of the incident that occurred around 4:15 p.m. in the patio area of the restaurant in the 3000 block of Northeast 32nd Avenue on the Intracoastal Waterway.

According to Peter Lopez, the restaurant’s director of operations, a former and a current employee were involved. A witness who did not want to be identified said it all started when the two engaged in a heated argument at the restaurant’s tiki bar.
“I told the guys to, ‘Take it down!’ You know what I mean? Customers were starting to pay attention and it was getting a little rowdy, so I said, ‘Can you take it to the end of the bar?’ I go inside the building and I come back and I see one running — the other one down, fighting for his life.”

The footage showed a large police presence outside the eatery, and officers were also seen canvassing the surrounding neighborhood, with an armored SWAT vehicle down the street from the restaurant.
Although the victim was rushed to the hospital right away, officials later reported that he died as a result of his injuries. The victim’s identity has been kept a secret for the time being. The suspect was taken into custody.
One witness stated he was having lunch at the restaurant when he heard gunshots in the neighborhood. People became terrified and began racing around the place.
According to Jay Rathman, a frequent customer at the restaurant and a close friend of the victim, a former employee turned up at the cafe and shot a waiter.
Later, authorities confirmed that Angel and the former employee had a falling out. The suspect fled the scene but got apprehended around 6 p.m. The suspect’s gun was recovered, and he is expected to face first-degree murder charges.
Det. Ali Adamson of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department said, “The situation was dangerous, but we got it all under control quickly.”
