Mam Angie Diale was a South African HIV activist, spokesperson, health and relationship counselor, and TV personality. Angie Diale died at the age of 55.
Mam’ Angie is known for performing Mzansi Magic’s Please Step In and SABC1’s Relate. She died of a short illness at Leratong Hospital on Thursday, December 23rd.

TshisaLIVE confirmed the 55-year-old TV presenter’s death on Thursday afternoon through a statement from Mzansi Magic.
Shirley Adonis, channel director of local entertainment, said they were saddened by Diale’s death.
“Mzansi Magic is saddened by the news of Angie Diale’s (Mam Angie) passing. She appeared on Mzansi Magic’s Please Step In for seven seasons in a social intervention programme which focused on assisting those in our society struggling with family relations and dynamics.”
Mam Angie Diale Death Cause And Obituary
In a statement, her family said she died of pneumonia-an infection that inflamed one or two lung air sacs.
“She was complaining of shortness of breath and subsequently treated at Tshepo Temba Hospital yesterday and later transferred to Leratong Hospital where she sadly passed in the early hours of this morning. The cause of death has been confirmed to be Pneumonia, [sic]” said the statement.
The family further stated that they are still receiving news of her death.
“We kindly ask for some privacy and time to deal with this sudden loss. The details of the memorial service and funeral will be confirmed at a later stage.”
Latestnewssouthafrica reports that the woman had an inflection that inflamed one of her two lung air sacs, resulting in breathing complexities.
Angie was only transferred to Leratong from Tshepo Themba Hospital, the day before.
During the treatment process, the doctors were unable to stabilize her condition as the woman eventually passed away in a saddening way.
Although the official obituary is not yet released, many sources online are publishing the headlines.
