Monaco FC make it two wins in a row following a 2-1 victory over Nice to move to fifth place in Ligue 1.
Having beaten Bordeux last week comfortably 4-0, Monaco managed to keep the momentum going tonight to progress into the league after a quite unconvincing start into the campaign.
Monaco where the more dangerous side in the opening 45th, creating plenty of chances and more importantly capitalizing on those chances as they managed to take the lead in the 23rd minute from a strike converted by Axel Disasi.
The picked up right where they left off as Sofiane Diop put his side 2-0 in the 59th minute. Nice managed to get one back in the 69th minute through Pierre Lees-Melou with 20 or so minutes to level the scores.
Nice were unable to come level as Monaco’s constant attacking and defending pressure carried them through to secure the three points.
