Among the more valuable items in Demon’s Souls is the Stone of Ephemeral Eyes, which are rarely spotted, but fan be farmed if you know where to look.
In the original version of the game, players discovered four locations where Stone of Ephemeral Eyes can be found over and over again. These include killing the same monster repeatedly to earn loot drops, or buying from a merchant whose shop restocks upon player death.
It’s not been confirmed whether these tricks all definitely work in the new PS5 Demon’s Souls remake, but each is worth trying out for those who really want more of the Stone of Ephemeral Eyes.
How to farm Stone of Ephemeral Eyes in Demon’s Souls
To get more Stone of Ephemeral Eyes in Demon’s Souls, repeatedly kill Black Phantoms, Giant Depraved Ones, and Plague Babies, or purchase them from the Filthy Woman merchant.
The Katana-wielding Black Phantom in the pit in 4-2 will respawn if you kill Saint Urbain and re-enter the area. If you’re looking to get Saint Urbain’s miracles, you can initially save him, then kill him later in the Nexus to cause the Black Phantom to respawn.
Giant Depraved Ones in 5-2 will occasionally drop a Stone of Ephemeral Eyes, but a Black Phantom Giant Depraved One is guaranteed to drop this item.
Plague Babies in 5-3 regularly drop Stone of Ephemeral Eyes, although they are a bit further into the game so won’t help you when you’re starting out. A popular strategy is to use God’s Wraith on them while avoiding their Plague damage.
Finally, you can purchase a Stone of Ephemeral Eyes from the Filthy Woman merchant in 5-1. It’s only available while you’re in Soul form. Her supply will restock whenever you die in human form, so you’re able to get more by farming, but be warned – the item increases in price every time you purchase one, likely to discourage this approach.
