Glasgow Rangers ace Bongani Zungu is back in Scotland as Steven Gerrard’s charges prepare for their return to Premiership action at Ibrox this weekend.
The Gers signed the South Africa ace on a season-long loan deal from French second-tier club Amiens earlier last month.
Rangers also have the option to make the 28-year-old’s deal permanent next summer for a reported £2.7million.
Following a period of self-isolation, he linked up with the Rangers squad in training at the end of the month, the day before their Europa League meeting with Lech Poznan at Ibrox.
Zungu has made one Gers appearance to date, coming on as a second-half substitute in the 8-0 Premiership win over Hamilton last time out, and also made the bench for the Poznan game.
The international break followed, with Zungu playing in both of the Bafana Bafana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, earning two victories over Sao Tome and Principe.
Zungu has now confirmed he’s back in Glasgow with a Twitter message which Rangers fans and South Africa supporters alike welcomed:

You’ve done amazingly well for the national team. All 6 points in the bag from two games, it doesn’t get better than that. We thank you for your contribution. The last two games you weren’t there were horrible we got beaten and draw.
