Animal Crossing New Horizons has entered the month of August and this means there’s a whole new batch of bugs, fish, and now sea creatures to catch. One of the new critters you can pluck from the ocean with your fishing rod is a moray eel, and here you’ll discover how to get and catch the slippery prize so you can sell it for some bells.
Aside from a new batch of fish and bugs to catch, August is also an exciting month for Animal Crossing New Horizons because of Nintendo’s fireworks every Sunday. These showings allow you to look at some pretty lights as well as participate in a raffle conducted by the mischievous Redd.

How to catch moray eel in ACNH
You should be able to easily catch a moray eel in Animal Crossing New Horizons simply by fishing in the sea.
All you need to do is play Animal Crossing New Horizons at any hour of the day during the previously listed months, and fish in the sea until you catch a moray eel.
The shadow size you are looking for is long and thin, and remember to only press A when it takes a bite rather than a gentle and curious nibble.
When you do catch it, you’ll unfortunately be greeted to another bad joke with the pun this time being, “when you’re in love, that’s a moray”.
You can sell the sea critter for 2,000 bells, but make sure you donate your very first to Blather.
