It has been confirmed by U.D. Oliveirense official Antonio Jose Leite that Manchester United are close to completing the signing of 19 year-old defender Bruno Amorim
Amorim is dubbed to be one of the most promising youngsters in Portuguese football who has recently been promoted to the club’s senior squad.
“He had been promoted to the main squad but the scouting was already alert and decided to take him there,”
“At this time the business is 90% done and he may have an excellent contract ahead. The contract will shortly be announced, but he is a future bet at United.”
The attacking-midfielder is currently on trial at Manchester United Carrington training ground with a deal now close to completion.
Bruno Amorim is expected to initially join Manchester United’s U23 squad, should he complete a move to Manchester, having only made four appearances for Portuguese second tier side U.D. Oliveirense’s first-team.
Manchester United continue to track the likes of Gareth Bale and Ivan Perisic according to reports, players who play in a similar area of the pitch as Amorim, as United look to add their fourth summer signing.
