Stanbic Bank Uganda has appointed former marketing chief of Nile Breweries Daniel Ogong as new head of marketing and communications.
Ogong having served the Nile Breweries for 15 years quit his job as a chief marketing officer in February this year and promised to become self employed however it is confirmed that he resumed to work in accordance with his expertise with Stanbic Bank.
According to our sources, Ogong joined one of Uganda’s most profitable banks (Stanbic Bank) at the beginning of this month as head of marketing and communications.
He played a pivotal role in building a stable portfolio of the brands that saw the Nile Breweries company sore to market leadership and is one of the most experienced and talented marketers in the country.
“Daniel brings on board a wealth of experience that will reshape Stanbic’s Marketing and Communications strategy to reinforce and sustainthe bank’s position as market leader while supporting the delivery of innovative solutions that respond to today’s customer needs,” a statement from the bank reads in part.
It adds: “As Daniel takes on the mantle, his strong leadership will be instrumental to informing Stanbic’s strategic direction in the market and future goals. We wish him all the best in the organisation as it continues on its journey to be the leading provider of financial services in Uganda and Africa as a whole.”
