Paul Lambert will be leaving his role as manager of Stoke following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.

Stoke vice-chairman John Coates made the decision to relieve Lambert of his duties on Friday during a meeting with the Scotsman after a dismal run of only two wins in 15 Premier League games.

Lambert was only appointed manager of Stoke back in January but will not be given the chance to lead their charge for promotion from the second tier next season.
