Uganda martyrs hospital Lubaga has awarded the first baby to be born on this Christmas with heavy gifts as they welcomed him like baby Jesus. 7 children were registered to be born on Christmas at Lubaga hospital with the first one being a baby boy as said by Florence Komugisha, the head of midwifery at the said hospital.
At Nsambya hospital, 4 children were born and the first one was a baby boy as said by the hospital director Mrs Susan Dyabe. Kibuli hospital managed to produce the highest number of babies born which a total of 20 children delivered.
Lugazi hospital came up with a total number of children being 9, Mukono health centre IV managed to come up with a number of 6 children, 3 being boys as well as 3 girls.
According to Mrs Anne Nganda, the head of public fundraising and recreation at Lubaga hospital,they have managed to come up with a UGX 3bn maternity ward which is the biggest in Uganda.
She adds that in 2014, a committee was put in place since they did not have the money for the machines of the ward and a fundraising was done from which they managed to collect a sum of UGX 142m out of the UGX 278m which they are still in need.
It is on this note, she called upon the public to come and build the future of Uganda together since the hospital serves all Ugandans and non Ugandans.
She also urged Ugandans to take care of their lives since they are the faces of the image of God
May the children born with the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ live a life of blessings to those who are surrounding them.
