Kabale Resident District Commissioner Darious Nandinda has applauded Governement for taking action against faulted government for the Omusinga of Rwenzururu Charles Mumbere.

He however blamed  the Government for taking long t to act.

Speaking at an event in Rwamucucu, Rukiga County, where World Vision was celebrating its achievements in the area, Nandinda described those who died during the raid to the palace as collateral damage, which is provided for under the international law.

Recently, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda His Grace Stanley Ntagali has condemned the recent violence in Rwenzori region where several lives were lost.

Speaking at the consecration and enthronement of the new bishop of Bunyoro Kitara diocese Rt. Rev Samuel Kahuma at St Peters Cathedral in Hoima municipality, Ntagali said the church would not wish to see more bloodshed in Kasese or any part of the country.

However, the RDC  warned religious leaders against involving themselves in politics.
