MP Atim has called Parliament to  encourage dialogue between Govt and the Leadership of Kasese.

However, speaking during the prayers in Najjankumbi, the LOP Winnie Kizza also retailiated the same saying that the government had invited all leader from Kasese for a dialogue but this can not happen in the absence of Mumbere.

MP Mwijukye also added his voice on the call for government to release the omusinga Charles before the peace talks can begin. MP Mukitale suggested that the Omusinga be put under house arrest and released from Prison.

He says government should release him and all the royal guards who were arrested before they go for the dialogue because they burnt his palace, undressed people and paraded them in public and killed his people.

Winnie Kizza went ahead and condemned the Kasese killings and asked all Ugandans to pray for the people of Kasese most especially those who have died and those undressed to regain their dignity.

Omusinga was charged with murder in a Jinja Chief Magistrate’s court on Tuesday and remanded to Kirinya Prisons until December 13 this year when he will appear in court for further mention.

However, MP Niwagaba says that charges against the King are those committed in March not of the latest events.

Speaker Kadaga called on the social media users to be careful when it comes to the kasese clashes. She requested that  the Uganda Human Rights commission  investigate the accusations of human Rights violations in the Kasese clashes.

Speaker Kadaga also called on the defense committee produce its report on the Kasese clashes so that parliament can debate it.
