President Museveni has finally summoned his longtime friend and former Inspector General of police Gen Kale Kayihura to his upcountry home in Rwakitura, Kiruhura district where he went for Easter holiday, this website has learnt.

According to a highly placed source the two Military Generals are scheduled to meet tomorrow Thursday night and the meeting is also expected to be attended by Gen Salim Saleh.

This source closed to Gen Kayihura intimated to this website that this has come as a surprise to the man from Kisoro because ever since he was unceremoniously fired, Museveni has never bothered to call him or meet him.

“We have been informed that he is going to meet him finally and they are to agree on where to deploy him”. Said a source.

According to sources, Kayihura who is at his farm in Lyantonde got this news through Museveni’s phone call on Easter Sunday morning and they talked for almost thirty minutes.

Excited and smiling ear to ear, Gen Kayihura passed on the good news to his wife Angella Kayihura and his close friends.

Source added that Kayihura left Kampala for now three weeks and chose to camp at his farm as he waited for the Commander in chief call for the next deployment.

Sources say Museveni consulted his powerful brother Gen Salim Saleh whether Kayihura can handle URA as Commissioner General following his complaints of swindling tax payers’ money and officials conniving with traders to evade taxes for kickbacks.

It should be remembered that Gen also served as head of Special Revenue Police Services a military unit attached to Uganda Revenue Authority which fought smuggling and tax evasion.

Gen Kayihura was fired on 5th, March, 2018 and was succeeded by Martin Okoth Ochola in an unexpected reshuffle which also saw the Minister for security Gen Henry Tumukunde replaced.

Museveni is expected to make a reshuffle in few days in government institutions and his cabinet where many of ministers are having sleepless nights fearing to lose their dockets.

“Mzee is camped in Rwakitura and is planning to make changes in government because he trusted many people but they have let him down”.
