Archbishop Ntagali tips youths on using their lives more profitably

The archbishop of the Church of Uganda has on Tuesday advised youths to have a self motivated life of work.
Speaking at the launch of Cradle Of Practical Solutions (COPS) at Imperial royal hotel, Ntagali promised that the church of Uganda is willing to support COPS and urged the government of Uganda to do the same in helping the youths.
Uganda has continued to experience a sharp rise in youth unemployment. Such a rise has been attributed to systematic, cultural and individual reasons.
In 2012 the unemployed youth comprised of 61.6%,where the NDPII continued to put the grievance at 78% in 2015. Today the media estimation is 80% of unemployed youths in the country.
Ainomugisha Smartson, the director of Cradle Of Practical Solutions (COPS) said that they are the solution to cub the verge. In his speech today Smartson said that youth trafficking, subjection to slavery and torture, university graduates who result into boda boda riding and frying of chapati, prostitution for survival and increased gambling are what Uganda’s unemployed youths have resorted to.
However, talent discovery and career guidance are some of the tools that they shall embark on.
COPS is a group of twelve self motivated young people from different professions like Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers, economists with the objective of curbing unemployment.
It should be noted that the government of Uganda has however been commuted to fight unemployment through the national youth policy, national youth council, the national unemployment policy that was launched on May 1st, 2011, African youth chapter, the vision 2040 and many more hence the gap be reduced.
