Four people are feared dead and more than 16 others critically injured in an accident that occurred along Kisoga-Nkokonjeru Road in Mukono district last evening when a commutator tax rammed into them.

The accident occurred at Bumbajja trading Centre at around 8: 30 Pm a speeding commuter taxi registration number UAR 511/V lost control before ramming into into a Bagishu Kadodi crowd  dancers who were heading to Nkokonjeru for a circumcision ritual.

Survivors of the accident were rushed to Nkokonjeru Hospital for treatment.

However, the driver and a conductor of the ill-fated taxi ran away immediately after the accident abandoning the taxi which angry residents put on fire.

The deceased have been identified as 15 year old Kakooza Wasswa, 35 year old Kizza, one Nalongo and another yet to be identified.

All the identified are residents of Bumbajja and Kiyoola in Nakisunga Sub-county, in  Mukono district.

Residents and eye witnesses blamed the accident to reckless driving on the taxi driver that was over speeding from the opposite direction.
